Description
Quilt as You Go techniques have been popular since the first quilter tried to quilt a queen size quilt with their domestic machine. It’s possible to quilt a queen size quilt this way but it’s not that easy. With QAYG techniques you are able to quilt the quilt in small sections and assemble the quilted sections using sashings.
- In this booklet I will be showing you three says to use the Easy Sashings techniques.
- Traditional Sashings – this technique can be used for blocks that are set in a straight setting and the blocks do not have points in the design as this technique uses a 1/2” seam allowance.
- On Point Sashings – this technique is like the traditional sashings but you can add setting and corner triangles to set your blocks On-Point.
- 60-degree Diamond Sashings – this technique can be used for blocks that have point as a traditional sampler block may because it is constructed with a ½” finished sashing. I have used this technique on a 60-degree diamond quilt that was designed with 60-degree setting and corner triangles.
